They didn’t expect to meet the love of their life somewhere between the scent of sea salt coffee and a tray of hot egg tarts—but life has a funny way of surprising people.

It all started at 85°C Bakery. One of them had already been working there for a while when word came around that a new Area Trainer was joining the team. Naturally, they pictured someone stern, clipboard-wielding—maybe even with a whistle. Instead, in walked someone confident, cute, and completely unaware they were about to destroy the other’s ability to concentrate forever.

She introduced herself with a smile that could melt butter, and all they could think was, “Great. Now I have to act like I know what I’m doing.”

Somehow—amidst the chaos of ovens, coffee orders, and too many pastries to count—there was a spark. They laughed way too hard at stupid things, shared bread during breaks, and found a kind of joy in even the busiest shifts.
